2 Arrested, 2 Hurt in DWI Crash

An alcohol-related crash in South Oak Cliff, left two people in the hospital and two others in jail for alcohol-related charges. The accident happened around 2am on Thursday, August 19th, when pickup truck allegedly ran through a red light and crashed into a Nissan Sentra carrying four people inside. Two people inside the Sentra were hurt including a 16 year old who was knocked unconscious. While the driver of the pickup was arrested and charged with two counts of Intoxicated Assault, two passengers from the truck fled the scene. Officers caught up with one of them, who said the group had been out “partying” before the incident. That passenger was arrested for public intoxication.
