Valid Permit Displayed – Philadelphia

So I received a “over time limit” ticket even though I have a valid permit displayed on my car. I was in the correct zone.
Has anyone had this happen to them? Do I really have to go to a hearing and use vacation time from work?

Clorise Wynn, a deputy director of finance, in charge of the Bureau of Administrative Adjudication (they handle parking-ticket appeals) has resigned. Although Wynn denies this, many people believe that she is resigning because of a recent investigation by the Inspector General’s office about improperly dismissed tickets from her office. Sources with knowledge of the situation, say the investigation began months ago when Wynn, herself, discovered that an employee of the agency had dismissed tickets for another agency employee. A follow up investigation by the Inspector General’s office found that several agency had employees had their parking tickets by their colleagues.

Dan and Cindy English, whose son, Shawn, was killed by a drunk driver at the age of 19 are having trouble coping with their unimaginable grief. They prefer to remember Shawn for his uniqueness as opposed to another DUI statistic. While the drunk driver, who already had a DUI under his belt, was sentenced to eight years in prison, the English’s continue to struggle. “Cindy cries throughout the day, requires prescription drugs to help her sleep, and visits a grief counselor to deal with the pain. Dan has no zest for life and has lost the pursuit of his goals and dreams.”

No Parking Area (How’d You Beat Your Ticket?)

I recently took a friend to an Eagles game and we left his car in what we thought was a safe, legal spot. We looked around for any signs telling us otherwise before deciding that the spot was legit. When we got back there was a ticket of course. Fortunately, I was able to get a list of all No Parking signs and proved to the judge that there was no way I could have known I wasn’t allowed to park there.
