A New Way to Pay Tickets?

August 23, 2010 by Jason389 · 10 Comments

Wayne County residents can now look forward to an easier way to pay their parking tickets. The County has implemented an online payment method, as opposed the old way which forced drivers to physically visit the Clerk’s office. While the Clerk’s office only accepted cash or money orders, online payments can be made with credit or debit cards. “All you need is access to the internet, an email address and a credit card,” said Wayne County Clerk Jo Ann Stewart.

Indianapolis Fire Lane Ticket?!?

July 29, 2010 by Jason389 · 10 Comments

I was helping a friend move a couple of weeks ago and got one of these tickets. We were basically done loading my truck and had to run back up to grab the last of the belongings. I parked in the fire zone, but put my flashers on and we both ran upstairs. (Obviously, you know where this is going.) As I’m heading down the hallway of his apt complex I see a ticket cop pull up behind my truck. Immediately, I start yelling to her that I’ll move my car. She glances up and we make eye contact – and, of course, she immediately begins writing the ticket. Once I get down there, she says “Sorry, I’ve already started writing it, blah, blah, blah.” Whatever happened to people just being friendly?

“Rolling Stop” in Indianapolis

June 22, 2010 by Jason389 · 8 Comments

I got a ticket for coming to what the officer called a “rolling stop” the other day in my own neighborhood. First of all, let me say this: I came to a COMPLETE stop – not a rolling one. Secondly, the cop was parked behind a truck waiting for someone to do this. (And they tell us they don’t have the quotas!) Considering what a quiet neighborhood I live in, couldn’t our tax money be put to better use?
