Chicago Red Light Company Rejects Takeover Bid

Redflex Holdings Ltd, the Australian-based private company which operates Chicago’s red light cameras, “rebuffed a bid from a company that is leasing the Indiana Toll Road.” Australia’s Securities Exchange said the bid by Macquarie Group Ltd “significantly undervalues” the company. Redflex also recently cancelled its Indiana lobbyist registration, saying “state lawmakers are unlikely to approve camera enforcement in Indiana.”
Indianapolis Street Cleaning Ticket

I got a ticket for not moving my car during street cleaning hours, but here’s the best part: THEY DIDN’T CLEAN THE STREET! I was home all day and am 100% positive that they didn’t clean the street. When I challenged the ticket, I was told by the judge that regardless of whether or not they cleaned they street, I still violated the law. Terrific.
