Unfair Meter Ticket (How’d You Beat Your Ticket?)

I beat one with a legitimate appeal. I remembered checking my watch when I put the 30 minutes on the meter and that I returned about 27-28 minutes later to find a ticket. I relayed that information in my appeal. The city checked the meter and verified that the clock on the meter needed to be re-calibrated. This was several years ago, and I think it was a mechanical meter (no electronic clock). There may not be any mechanical meters still in service.
