An Hour to Park in La Jolla??

April 12, 2011 by Sheryl123 · 5 Comments

La Jolla Cove. Seriously is there anything that can be done that involves: eating, shopping or browsing that is honestly accomplished in less than an hour? I’m not even sure if it’s possible to get out of the car and down the block in under an hour.

Marking my watch, I was back one hour and two minutes after I had parked and to my dismay there was a parking ticket. I mean honestly… two minutes!!?? Is it at all possible to enable patrons to enjoy the cove without having to park and re-park every hour while there?

I feel that tourism and neighborhood shopping would increase if the stress of always being back in time was removed. Come on San Diego give us a break at least in the La Jolla Cove area. Or maybe don’t yell at me next time I wipe the chalk off the rear left tire when I come back to check!!!

Red-Light Cameras May Go After Speeders

Under Governor Schwarzenegger’s new budget, cities and counties which already utilize red-light cameras would add an extra layer of revenue (and / or safety depending on your perspective) to those intersections. Speed detecting radars would be added to these cameras – 15 of which are in San Diego. Currently, there’s a $436 minimum fine for a red-light camera ticket in the city. With the speeding citations expected to be as high as $325, a single violation can carry a $761 fine from the city.
