Blocking Alley or Driveway

If ticketed for blocking an alley or a driveway, taking pictures of the scene is a good idea. If you happen to have a tape measure, ask a witness to assist you in measuring the distance and, if possible, ask for their contact information.

I got a ticket for blocking about 6 inches OF MY OWN DRIVEWAY!!!!! Not only was there PLENTY of room (my bumper was not even half way down the slope of the curb leading to my driveway) but it’s my OWN DRIVEWAY! Is this just a case of the city trying to generate revenue on the backs of its citizens?
Actually, Ranger, that’s exactly what it is. Cities are now enforcing laws/situations that haven’t been enforced in decades. Not just in Austin, but pretty much everywhere.
