Loading Zone Tickets

If you receive a ticket for parking in a “Loading Zone” make sure that your car is, in fact, within the boundaries of the Loading Zone. After that, carefully check the ticket for any errors. While they may seem trivial, any error from the parking enforcement officer (license plate number, time of day, etc.) could result in a dismissal of the ticket.

I was dropping my wife off at work the other day and had to walk her inside the building because she couldn’t carry everything by herself. There weren’t any available spots so I parked in a loading zone spot. I was gone for no more than 60 seconds. When I got back, there was a cop writing a ticket already. The frustrating thing is that there were two additional loading spots available, directly behind my car – so it’s not like I was taking up a much-needed space. Austin’s parking enforcement is ridiculous.
