Obstructing Pedestrians

If ticketed for obstructing the path of pedestrians, taking pictures is a good idea. Also, taking down the accounts of witnesses can be helpful as sometimes a driver has no choice but to keep the car in the path of pedestrians for a short amount of time.

I got a ticket for “Obstructing Pedestrians” on West Baltimore a couple of days ago. I was trying to make a right turn and waiting for traffic to pass. Once that happened, I began my turn (slowly) when a bunch of people ran out of nowhere to cross the street. I slammed on my brakes, and let them pass, but a cop said that I had blocked the crosswalk and the pedestrians had to go around my car (not true) so I got a Blocking Pedestrians ticket. How stupid.
