Street Cleaning

Street Cleaning is usually enforced during a specific time-frame, on a particular day of the week. Check the ticket to see what time the parking-enforcement officer issued the citation. If it’s within a few minutes of the beginning or end of the no-parking time-frame, a judge may give you the benefit of the doubt and dismiss the ticket.

I got one of these tickets last week, but I am 100% sure that the street cleaner never came. Can I fight it?
Not likely. The problem is that the sign doesn’t say “No Parking Unless Street Cleaning Does Not Come.” Obviously, your ticket is totally unfair, but it would be impossible to prove to a judge that the street cleaning didn’t even bother to show up.
