If passengers are entering or exiting your vehicle, you are permitted to ‘double-park’ for a short amount of time. If this is the case, be sure to take down witness accounts (preferably from your passengers and other witnesses) and bring them with you if contesting the ticket.

Has anyone ever gotten a double-parking ticket for just being a little too far away from the curb? I wasn’t in the middle of the street, I was just a few feet from the curb. Is there anything I can do?
