Parking Too Close to a Fire Hydrant

If ticketed for parking too close to a fire hydrant, taking pictures of the scene is a good idea. If you happen to have a tape measure, ask a witness to assist you in measuring the distance and, if possible, ask for their contact information.

There is a fire hydrant out in front of my apartment, the curb should be painted red to indicate that you can’t park there, but it isn’t. The parking enforcement vultures are using it as a cash cow, constantly writing tickets to car after car who park there.
It is one of two fire hydrant ticket traps I know about, I am sure there are more. Watch out for them.
No wonder everyone is moving out of this city.
