If ticketed for parking too far away from a curb, taking pictures of the scene is a good idea. If you happen to have a tape measure, ask a witness to assist you in measuring the distance and, if possible, ask for their contact information.

So what’s the difference between being parked too far away from the curb and double-parking?
I think if you don’t leave your car, it’s double-parking. Not positive though.
