If ticketed for exceeding the allotted time-frame allowed in that space, double-check the ticket for the time that the citation was issued. Often, if you are within a minute or two of the permitted time-frame, a judge will give you the benefit of the doubt.

I got a ticket for exceeing 1 hour parking. I missed by about 14 seconds, so a $75 ticket sounds about right. Thanks a lot, Chicago.
