If ticketed for parking too close to a fire hydrant, taking pictures of the scene is a good idea. If you happen to have a tape measure, ask a witness to assist you in measuring the distance and, if possible, ask for their contact information.

How far do you need to be from the fire hydrant? I got a b.s. ticket recently and want to fight it.
