Always be sure to question the officer about the reasoning behind the stop? (Did he estimate your speed, or have you on radar, etc.) Inconsistencies in the officer’s story could help you beat your ticket if you decide to contest it.

What if someone gets a traffic ticket while driving my car? Who’s responsible for this?
If it is a traffic violation or infarction, of course the driver is the responsible party for the citation. But if it is parking ticket for example while the vehicle is parked on the wrong spot and the ticket is usually left on the windshield, then who ever is the resgistered owner will be the responsible party on the citation. Arranging for the driver who did the illegal parking is between the registered car owner and the driver. Because even if your car is towed, the plates and VIN nos. recorded will be the name of the registered owner.
