Parking Too Close to a Fire Hydrant

If ticketed for parking too close to a fire hydrant, taking pictures of the scene is a good idea. If you happen to have a tape measure, ask a witness to assist you in measuring the distance and, if possible, ask for their contact information.

I was a good 20 ft from the fire hydrant when I got my ticket. I didn’t have a tape measure, but I did take photographs of the situation. Why would I get this ticket, when access to the fire hydrant clearly wasn’t blocked?!?
Good luck, Winger. You’re gonna need it. Unfortunately, in your situation, it’s probably going to come down to your word against the parking enforcement agent. And we all know who’s gonna win that.
Same thing happened to a co-worker of mine, I wonder if it was the same ticket agent. She took pictures as well, but hasn’t had her court date yet. Good luck, indeed.
