If ticketed for exceeding the allotted time-frame allowed in that space, double-check the ticket for the time that the citation was issued. Often, if you are within a minute or two of the permitted time-frame, a judge will give you the benefit of the doubt.

I got one of these tickets for exceeding a 2 hour time limit. It turns out I accidentally left my car in the spot for about 2 hours and 10 seconds. Nice job, Houston parking enforcement!
