Parking Meter Violations

Parking meter violations are often unfair, as many meters don’t function properly. If you receive a citation for a parking meter violation, make sure you check the meter. If it’s flashing “FAIL,” call the number posted on the meter to report the problem.

I got a ticket at a broken meter. I caught up to the ticket agent as soon as she was done writing it, and she told me to call the number on the meter. This was almost 2 months ago and I’m still working it to get it dismissed. Should it really be this difficult? I think the city just wants to me to give up and pay it.
That’s EXACTLY what they want you to do, but you should not do it. You should be following up on your complaint, however. Call every day if you have to. This happens all the time and it’s total b.s.
