Parking Meter Violations

Parking meter violations in Los Angeles are often unfair, as many meters don’t function properly. If you receive a citation for a parking meter violation, make sure you check the meter. If it’s flashing “FAIL,” call the number posted on the meter to report the problem.

I got a ticket when I was parked next to a broken meter.
So did I. What area were you in?
I did also. I was on Ventura Blvd. Totally unfair!
I got TWO for the same parking spot at a broken meter in West LA. One on the windshield and one in the mail (allegedly for an expired meter down the street). So, are they hiring criminals in the Parking Violations Bureau now???
That story is all too common – they’ll do anything for revenue. There should have been a phone number on the meter that you can call if it’s broken. Did you look?
I actually hope for “failed” meters. BUT….I take a picture with my phone. My advice is to ALWAYS take that photo!!
Parking meters have doubled! $4.00 to park for an hour in some places! I’m supposed to carry six rolls of quarters in the glove box?
