No Front or Rear Plate

Often times, this is just a “fix-it” ticket, which can be handled by simply attaching license plates and having them “signed off” at a designated location. Be sure to handle these situations in a timely manner to avoid additional penalties.

Got a fix it ticket for this last week. (By the way, fix it tickets now cost money.) It makes me wonder if the Portland PD have anything better to do than write tickets like this.
HA! I am one step ahead of these bastards! I have a sports car that looks better with no front plate. After a couple of $25 fix-it tickets, I just got tired of paying it. So I got some velcro. Now I drive with no plate and when I park ON CITY STREETS (not that often) I stick the plate on. This, btw, helps with the big-friggin’-brother red light cameras. I keep the plate in an envelope when it’s in the car (so the car stays clean) and I leave the envelope on my seat when the plate is stuck on so I won’t forget to take it off before I drive away. My car still looks cool and I give a big F-U to the city/state/big brother when the plate is stuck on!
And here’s how efficient these bastards are. A couple of months ago I just wanted to run into a store for 10 minutes. I found a perfect street-side space. Rather than stick on the plate, I pulled up to the car in front of me so there was about 2 inches of space between us, so the METER MAIDS couldn’t see I didn’t have a plate. Guess what – I got a ticket (in about 7 minutes). The car in front of me still hadn’t moved. I still wonder how they saw that as they drive past in their pansy ticketmobiles.
