If ticketed for failing to register or display tags, make sure that your up-to-date tags weren’t stolen off of your vehicle, as they often are. If that’s the case, contact the court and ask them how to proceed.

What are we supposed to do if we get ticketed becuase our stickers were stolen off of our cars?
Your should be able to mail in your ticket along with a copy of your registration to get the ticket dismissed. However, some states have a ridiculously short time frame that this can be done so you need to act quickly. Good luck.
