Always be sure to question the officer about the reasoning behind the stop? (Did he estimate your speed, or have you on radar, etc.) Inconsistencies in the officer’s story could help you beat your ticket if you decide to contest it.

A cop got me doing 53 in a 45. Yes, I was speeding, but isn’t there supposed to be some sort of 10mph cushion?
